How our hiring process works

The process has four steps and no busywork. It is the same for every role, from engineering to marketing, and you will know where you stand at each step.

1

Apply by email

Send your CV to info@timelinedigi.com with the role name in the subject line. A short note about what you have built helps more than a long cover letter. We review every application that names a specific role.

2

Technical interview

Shortlisted candidates meet a senior team member. For engineering roles that is a conversation about work you have shipped: the decisions you made, the tradeoffs you accepted, and how you debug when something breaks in production. There are no puzzle-style whiteboard rounds.

3

Paid trial task

If the interview goes well, we send a small, scoped task that mirrors the real work of the role. It is paid and time-boxed, and a team lead reviews the result with you. You see how we work, and we see how you work.

4

Offer

Candidates who clear the trial task get a written offer covering the role, compensation, and start date. If we decide not to move forward at any step, we tell you directly instead of going quiet.

How the engineering team works

Timeline Digital has been building software since 2013. The team has grown to 1,200+ developers, and the work has reached clients in 25+ countries, so the systems you join are production software with real users, real data, and real deadlines.

Two rules shape how projects run. First, builds are senior-led: every project has a senior engineer who owns the architecture and stays on it through delivery, and less experienced engineers work next to that person rather than in a separate queue. Second, there are no handoffs: the engineers who scope a feature are the ones who build, test, and ship it. You talk to clients directly when the work needs it, and you watch your code go live.

You can see the kind of work this produces on our portfolio page and read more about the company on the about page.

The stack you will work in

Most of our client work runs on four stacks, and role requirements map to them directly.

.NET

Enterprise backends: ERP, POS, and internal business systems, including the free Windows products we publish.

Next.js and React

Web applications, client dashboards, and marketing sites, including the one you are reading right now.

Flutter

Cross-platform mobile apps that ship to Android and iOS from a single codebase.

Laravel

PHP web platforms and API backends where the client environment calls for it.

Around those stacks sit SQL databases, REST APIs, and Git-based code review. You do not need all four. Depth in one, plus the willingness to read and work in the others, covers most engineering roles here.

Office and remote setup

Our office is in G-11, Islamabad, and on-site roles work from there, in the same rooms as the engineers, designers, and project leads on the same builds. Roles listed as Remote / Islamabad can be done from anywhere in Pakistan.

Client work spans the USA, UK, Germany, Canada, UAE, and Pakistan, so some calls are scheduled around client time zones. Day-to-day collaboration happens in English and Urdu, and written English matters for every role because clients read what you write.
